Every day I receive over 25 comments on my pages.  It’s absolutely wonderful – I’ve become a scammers magnet.  I get offers in bad english to connect to their tinyurl sites and they tell me they love what I write and that they really want me to continue with the great stories and subjects that I’m apparently an expert on.

Maybe I can increase that number somehow, or here’s a thought.  Stop even trying.  Most of these scam messages are in my favorite place for them – the trash bin.  It still takes time to weed through them in the hopes someone is sincerely connecting with me.  I’m a dreamer after all.

Well the spammers have taken my message to heart.  I now get more than 160 comments per day.  I thought I would give you an idea on what spam looks like by sharing a few of the ones I get.  There are four things to look for.

• Firstly, if your website has unpronounceable or offending words in it.
• Secondly, If your email has long repetitive characters or seems to have a name and then a random number on it.
• Thirdly, when your name makes abosolutely no sense or it suggests advertising or offensive wording.
• Fourthly,  your comment is full of bad grammar,  random words that don’t really say anything, multiple links to sites,  swearing, porn or sales.  A few of my choice examples are below.
