Earth Day 2016

A day we take to look at what we’re doing to look after our little blue planet.

Every day when I’m walking  I see signs of the earth around me struggling to take over from the scars we leave.  We complain about people tearing down rain forests, but what about the large concrete seas that are our cities? What are we doing about them?  There is some beautiful architecture that encompasses greenery into its’ design, but do we see much of that?

Walking around my city, there is much greenery to be found.  Ottawa does a great job trying but is it enough?  How do you inspire the populous to take enough pride in their surroundings to stop throwing their garbage everywhere and expect someone else to pick it up?  Shaming perhaps? Fines? (those are already in place no working).
